- CD Description
After a year of silence, Andy Lau finally releases his latest Mandarin album "Opening Skies". Surprisingly, none of the tracks featured here is of that title. He says he chose it because he had always had a close connection with the Chinese character tien, meaning sky or heaven. His company names contain the character and he is one of the "Heavenly Kings". After a commercial shoot on the Huang Mountains, he realized the grandeur of the earth's beauty. His heart opened up through the experience and for that he named the album "Opening Skies".
Here, you will hear songs written by Andy himself, "My Heart Has Only Room For You" and "Willing". Jay Jou's "Homesickness" is a song unlike the ones Andy has done in the past. He says that he feels free when singing Jay's songs, because no attention is put on pronunciation, rather on the rhythm. "Kick A Future" is the theme track for the movie "Shaolin Soccer". Here, you will hear a very different Andy; something new for your ears.
