The musical genie of Taiwan Mavis Fan seems to have an endless source of inspiration and ideas. Her last album under ex-label Decca Music, "I Want Us to Be Together", grabbed a Golden Melody Award for Best Album. After leaving the record company, she took the helm as producer with boyfriend Lawrence Chou by her side. Good friend "Little S" of SOS wrote four songs about dogs and on her thoughts on breaking up with her ex-boyfriend Jiao Jiao. This jazzy album was post-produced by Kitamura, who has worked with Bossa Nova sensation Lisa Ono. Mavis also traveled to Japan in search of the best style for her new album. 

Recently, the sex party scandal as revealed by the paparazzi has put a negative image on Mavis. She has made a public statement saying that the new album will not be publicized in any way; no photo shoots, no music videos and no radio broadcasts of any of the songs. She will only attend a concert in Hong Kong that was scheduled previously. She goes on to reveal that she will not appear in the media, in any form, until she has figured out a way to face the society. However the outcome, it is an undeniable fact that Mavis is a talented musician and the hard work she has put into music should not be dismissed.
